Asher Fisch - conductor
Praised by critics as one the finest Wagnerian interpreters of our time, Asher Fisch has brought his extensive repertoire in the greatest theaters in the world covering the position of Music Director at the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv and at the Volksoper in Vienna. He has an intense concert activity, as well as a pianist. Among the orchestras he conducted: the Chicago Symphony, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Israel Philharmonic, the Tokyo's NHK and many others.
In the recent seasons Mo Fisch conducted Don Giovanni at the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona; a symphonic concert in Bologna; Palestrina, Don Carlo and Hänsel und Gretel in Munich; Götterdämmerung, Parsifal , Tristan und Isolde, Un Ballo in maschera and Falstaff in Dresden; Les Contes d’Hoffmann in Nagoya; Der Rosenkavalier, Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci in Vienna; Un Ballo in Maschera in Chicago; Salome in Montecarlo; Greek Passion and Der Koenig Kandaules in Palermo; Die Lustige Witwe in Paris; Fidelio in Seattle; Die Zauberfloete, Carmen in Munich.
Important engagements follow: Carmen and Der Fliegende Hollaender in Munich; Rigoletto and Tristan und Isolde in Dresden; Der Ring and Die Meistersinger von Nuernberg in Seattle. On the symphonic side Asher Fisch will conduct concerts in Bolzano with the Orchestra Haydn, in Parma with the Orchestra Toscanini, in Florence with the Orchestra della Toscana and a series of concerts at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.
